Funded Energy Redress Projects

Since the Energy Redress Scheme launched Phase One of the scheme in 2018, Energy Saving Trust has awarded over £102 million to fund nearly 538 projects across England, Scotland and Wales. These grants have enabled organisations to deliver projects that help energy consumers in vulnerable situations to save energy and money in their homes and to live warmer, more comfortable lives. Phase Two of the scheme launched in May 2022.

Building Retrofit across the Marches

Building Retrofit across the Marches will create and test a local delivery pathway for domestic retrofit. It will support and guide householders to invest with confidence, knowing they will significantly lower carbon, energy use and running costs, and make their homes warmer and healthier. Around 350 householders will be recruited and surveyed from a mix of on-gas/ off-gas, urban/rural, able-to-pay/ struggling financially, DIYers, old and new homes, owner occupier/ private rental.

Project Name
Chillout & Save Your Energy

This project will work with young people to educate and train them to engage with energy issues, providing the understanding, tools, personal support and resources that they need to make better informed choices and decisions regarding energy.

A toolkit will be developed to help specialist youth workers integrate energy advice into their work with young people and the project will enable four social action projects to be developed by young people across Wales.

The project will create energy advice provision in Redcar & Cleveland, developing the proactive approach already used in Middlesbrough and providing consistency across the South Tees Affordable Warmth Partnership area.

The interventions will be delivered in a culturally sensitive way, in various community languages and from community venues to ensure accessibility. 

The advisors will work closely with beneficiaries, offering a tailored support package including home energy health checks, benefit maximisation checks, letter reading/writing, interpreting

Warmer Homes West Midlands is an ambitious partnership programme to provide a universal, top-level energy advice service for the fuel poor across the seven urban local authority areas in the West Midlands Combined Authority area. This is a large-scale energy advice programme will help over 7,000 vulnerable households, create nine new jobs and help secure a further eight jobs. The project aims to reduce fuel poverty and improve the health and wellbeing of people with pre-existing cold and damp related medical conditions, through energy saving advice, energy saving measures an income
