Coronavirus poverty relief funding immediately available for small charities

Martin Lewis from Money Saving Expert (MSE) has released £1,000,000 from his personal charity fund today, to kickstart a new Coronavirus poverty relief fund available to small registered charities, or local arms of larger charities across the UK.

Applicants can claim grants of £5,000 up to £20,000, exclusively for coronavirus-related poverty relief projects. By working with MSE and charity specialists, Martin Lewis hopes to spread immediate help to people across the UK in this difficult time. Examples could include foodbanks, charities engaged in community aid, financial advice help and more.

If you are a charity interested in applying for a Coronavirus poverty relief grant, you will need to complete a simple online application form. Martin Lewis hopes to distribute the funding within the next couple of weeks for a speedy delivery of successful projects, therefore the deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Wednesday 25th March 2020.
